seperti yang dijanjikan..meh yanie share serba sikit bout research project in BMS..tapi briefly setakat yang yanie mampu recall..if nk tanya further boleh comment kt bawah :)
beginning with proposal presentation --> approval --> proceed with research --> research findings presentation --> conference --> research publication
for the research topic awal2 ingatkan boleh je pilih topic sendiri (supposed to boleh je sbenanya..just in certain topic maybe xde sv yg boleh supevised or any other circumstances so dorg reject topic tu)
tapi if taknak pening kepala (takpayah pening kepala) choose je any topic from the listed topic..lecturer in charge for research project will give a list of topic (nama sv hidden), n then students pilih je nak topic apa..lepastu find out nama sv n then berurusan directly dgn sv for further assistance..
as for yanie yanie rasa masa tu macam lucky banyak jugak la..dapat pilih topic research tu awal..so boleh pilih topic best sikit..yanie memang aim dari awal nak buat wet research..taknak dry..why?sebab wet lagi senang..kita just duduk dalam lab most of the time..penat time labwork tu je..takpayah nak approach orang..eheh
yanie choose a topic yg macam rare sikit..xpenah dibuat lagi (stakat yang yanie baca)..so macam interesting sikit..for me..
other 2 students under same sv yanie ajak my classmates yang rapat jugak..sebab nak senang communicate n kejesama nnt..dorang punya topic pun sama..tuka sbstances yang pakai tu je..so senang la sikit keje..
to be honest, research ni serius penat + stressful + duit macam air + tears like riverflow + sweat xpayah cakapla + tido tak cukup..tambah lagi dorang bagi plus minus bout 5months je untuk research tu siap..so memang tekejar2..
dari awal proposal presentation dah nervewrecking..then proceed dengan beli segala materials..ratsss, botol air, makanan dorang, bedding, etc..lepas rats sampai kena weight dorang, sort ikut berat n size, categorized..then bermulala rutin harian to tuka bedding dorang (bersihkan cage), buat makanan (baking macam biskut), bg tx through oral gavage (this is real struggle!)..
so much drama sepanjang research tu jugak..bedding kena curi, water bottle kne kidnap, rats mati sampai nangis2 tuan dia, kena cakar dengan rats, rats tu tantrum tumpahkan air, rats kills each other, materials tak cukup, rats terlepas n hilang, balik rumah tengah malam, etc..
the cycle rotate for 5months..sampaila malam last sebelum nak obtained result, ktorang stay up dari jam 2petang sampai jam 4pagi esoknya..dissect all 88rats is not a joke..bengkak tangan sebab lama sangat pegang scapel n scissors..all those rats pulak tak reti diam..asyik nak cakar je..haha
lepas dah dissect all those rats kena preserved dia punya organs in formalin (utk observe any abnormalities)..all those bloods letak dalam edta vacutainer..tak larat nak buat in a day, ktorang continue esoknya..jam 5 pagi jalan kelua dari msu sampai guard pun tekejut ingat zombie..haha
after a week lepas dapat result etc, here comes the research presentation..to be honest jugak dah care tak care dah time tu..ingat nak cecepat siap n balik tido je..haha
habis research presentation kena present under Medical & Health Science Conference di MSU..actually those chosen je yg present depan panel..yang tak chosen bg abstract je..ngee
lepastu attend another conference (international) to publish the research..end?no..ada je lg yang lain2 but depends sv jugak..sv yang active banyak la kne buat..kalau tak end takat research presentation tu je..eheh
nak kata worth it or not its equal la kot..haha..tapi this one really taught me many things..hargai n do the best..hasil dia akan jadi the best experience..kalau minat boleh terus proceed master :*
